RRB NTPC Shift Timings
The RRB isolated and ministerial categories exam will be conducted in two shifts. The first shift exam will commence at 10.30 am while the second shift will begin at 3:00 pm. The duration of the exam will be 90 minutes for general candidates and 120 minutes for persons with disability (PWD) category candidates.
The shift timings for the first phase of RRB NTPC CBT Satge 1 (to be conducted from December 28, 2020, to January 13, 2021 for first 23 lakh candidates) is as follows –

RRB NTPC 2020 Exam Pattern
The recruitment process involves – 1st Stage Computer Based Test (CBT), 2nd Stage Computer Based Test (CBT), Typing Skill Test/Computer Based Aptitude Test (as applicable) and Document Verification/Medical Examination.
RRB NTPC 2020 CBT Stage I
The Questions will be of objective type with multiple choices and duration is 90 minutes.

Note: RRB NTPC 1st Stage CBT is common for all the notified posts.

RRB NTPC 2020 CBT Stage II
Separate 2nd Stage CBT shall be taken for each of the 7th CPC Level i.e. Level 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 with graded difficulty level. All posts falling within same level of 7th CPC shall have a common 2nd stage CBT. If candidates are eligible for more than one level of 7th CPC posts as per their educational qualifications, they have to give common 1st stage CBT and corresponding 2nd stage CBT for each level of 7th CPC as per the table.

COVID-19 guidelines for RRB NTPC
- Following the COVID-19 guidelines, remember to carry a face mask, hand sanitiser, without it, you will not be allowed to appear in the exam
- The candidates need to carry their photo ID at the examination venue in any case. Keep in mind that no softcopy of admit card in cell phones will be accepted for verification at the centre. You would not be allowed to appear for the paper in case you forget it.
- There are few items which are not allowed inside the hall such as mobile phones, pagers or any other communication devices. Carrying the same will lead to disqualification of the candidates.
- Don’t take stress too much a day before the exam. Try to be happy. Meditate or spend time with your family a night before.
Candidates will be checked for the temperature at entry using thermo guns. Candidates having temperatures more than prescribed limits will not be allowed inside the exam venue.

How to attempt the exam?
- Current affairs is a scoring section, focus on important facts from history, geography, and recent events
- Know the options you can first eliminate while solving questions.
- If you are completely unsure about all the four options, avoid question.
