The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is going to conduct the SSC CHSL 2025 Tier 1 exam from 12th November onwards. It is important for candidates who are appearing for the exam to know about the SSC CHSL Shift Timings. SSC CHSL Shift Timings 2025
The SSC CHSL Exam will be conducted in three shifts. Check the SSC CHSL Shift Timings from the table below:

- Candidates must present at the exam centre at least 1 hour before the exam start time.

SSC CHSL Tier 1 Slot Selection Process
The SSC CHSL Exam Date 2025 is from 12th November 2025. This year, the SSC has taken another candidate-friendly step by allowing aspirants to choose their own exam city, date, and shift through the official candidate portal. This feature gives students more flexibility and helps avoid travel or scheduling issues during the exam period. The slot selection window for SSC CHSL 2025 will remain open from 22nd October to 28th October 2025. Candidates can log in to the SSC portal during this period to choose their exam city, date, and shift.

SSC CHSL Tier 1 City Intimation Slip Date
Before the exam, SSC will release a City Intimation Slip to inform candidates about their exam city, date, and shift. This slip helps candidates plan their travel and reach the exam centre on time. The city intimation slip is expected to be released around the first week of November 2025, followed by the SSC CHSL Admit Card, which will be released 3-5 days before the exam.
SSC CHSL Exam Pattern – Overview

Candidates must note that scoring above the SSC CHSL Cut Off is a mandate to get selected for the next round.
SSC CHSL Exam Day Instructions
In order to have a hassle-free paper, follow these important instructions specified by the Staff Selection Commission. The SSC is very particular about discipline inside the exam hall. Make sure to follow the SSC CHSL Exam Day Instructions (New) on the day of the exam.
- First, go through the SSC CHSL Exam Centers’ details and location to know about the exam centre locations and website information one day before the exam.
- The candidates are advised to reach the centre as per the time slot indicated against Reporting/ Entry time on the admit card.
- Candidates should note that no candidate will be allowed entry after the entry closing time in any circumstance or due to any reason. Gates will be closed strictly at entry closing time.
- Don’t carry any Electronic Gadgets inside the premise.
- The SSC CHSL Tier 1 paper is a Computer Based exam, don’t take any piece of paper or book inside.
- Do not carry expensive jewellery inside the exam hall.

SSC CHSL Shift Timings FAQs
You can choose your preferred exam city, date, and shift via the self-slot selection portal on the official SSC website (ssc.gov.in) between October 22 and 28, 2025.
If the slots in your chosen city are full, the portal will show available alternatives in other cities. You must select one of these options to avoid being auto-allocated a slot by SSC.
The final exam date, city, and shift will be printed on your admit card. The City Intimation Slip is expected to be released around the first week of November 2025.
No, once you finalize and submit your slot selection, you cannot make any changes.
If you fail to select a slot by October 28, 2025, SSC will assign a slot for you. Non-selection may also be considered as a decision not to appear for the exam.
