SSC CHSL Typing Test and Skill Test Preparation

Unlike many other SSC examinations, SSC CHSL includes a Typing Test or Skill Test depending on the post. Candidates should therefore begin typing practice well before Tier 2 rather than waiting until the objective examination is completed. For LDC/JSA posts, the latest verified CHSL scheme prescribes a typing speed of 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi. The SSC CHSL Tier 2 Exam 2026 is conducted in two sessions on the same day. Session I includes Section I, Section II and Section III, while Session II consists of the Skill Test/Typing Test. A major change in 2026 is the introduction of separate sectional timers within Tier 2.

Candidates had to appear for the skill test or typing test in Tier 2 of the examination. The Skill Test/Typing Test is conducted in Session II and is qualifying in nature.
