Brief Introduction About Himani:

Hello everyone, I am Himani Goyal from Bathinda, Punjab. I am a B.Com graduate and have completed the same from Delhi University in 2017.

List of Exams that I have given:

SBI PO2018– Cleared Prelims and Mains but couldn’t clear the interview.

SBI CLERK 2018– Cleared the exam but could not join due to personal reasons.

NIACL ASSISTANT 2018: Cleared Prelims and Mains but scored very less marks in Mains

IBPS PO 2018: Got selected in Canara bank

Preparation Strategy:

I started my preparation soon after the completion of my graduation but I was not very serious about my studies and I used to waste all my time on social networking sites. Then last year I made my mind to set a goal and to reach there and finally I have achieved it.

Firstly, I made up my mind to cut off from all social networking sites and then started studying seriously. After that I cleared SBI PO 2018 pre and mains but didn’t make it through the  interview. I also cleared SBI CLERK but couldn’t join because of personal issues.

Quants:

My strategy was very clear from the beginning itself. I cleared all my basics and tried to brush my concepts. I focused more on attempting as many mock tests as I can everyday and worked on my weak areas accordingly to improve. Moreover, I would like to advise everyone that please stick to one book rather than blindly following 10 books .

Reasoning:

My focus was to attempt as many questions as I can. It’s very important to solve good number of questions especially for Reasoning section so that you can be well versed with all the types of possible questions that can be asked in exam.

English:

Clearing your concepts in this section before you attempt the mock tests is a must. I referred various modules present online to clear my basics and then attempted mock tests provided by Oliveboard. As the test series provided by Oliveboard are based on the latest pattern and syllabus, it helped me immensely to prepare for the exam.

GK/GA:

I used to prepare for the above three sections daily but I started my current affairs preparation only 15 days before the exam. It will be good if you can cover past 6 months data for this section. For GK/GA preparation I used to refer different sites and the modules provided by them proved very helpful in my last minute preparation.

Role of Oliveboard:

Oliveboard Mock Test Series has set the standard high so that students get used to the situations even before appearing for the exam. Questions are of very high level as compared to the exams. I always suggest my friends to go for oliveboard.

Tips to Aspirants:

It’s your mindset for hard work that makes a difference. You have to make your mind in order to work hard and leave no stone unturned to clear the exam. Two persons, one who got selection and the one who didn’t have the same sources but it’s the mindset that makes the difference.
