Read Success Story of Vishnu Pareek , who had a different & smart preparation strategy to clear the exams when compared to other aspirants. He always thought that he was an extremely lazy person to follow a particular time table or routine but he was smart enough to devise his unique strategies to clear some major banking exams like SBI PO & IBPS Clerk.
Here is his inspiring story:
Hello Everyone, I am Vishnu Pareek. Itʼs not just a success story, in fact itʼs about how a lazy student can manage to get a job in the banking sector. I have cleared IBPS Clerk 2018 and SBI PO 2019 and I never used to study more than an hour. Actually, we need a strong strategy to clear any exam. All exams are different, means we need so many strategies.
I suggest you to ‘Never make a study time tableʼ because it becomes frustrating if we are not able to follow it properly. Keep weekly soft targets like one or two topics per week. You can decide Single subject per week. Now Iʼll discuss how did I do.
Reasoning:
Do only mock tests. I recommend you to buy topic tests and high level 10 reasoning tests of Oliveboard. Donʼt follow books because only a few are updated as per new pattern.
Quant:
Do clear your concept by completing RS Agarwalʼs Book (old book). Then jump to good mock tests (I attempted Oliveboardʼs). Big mistake would be doing Arun Sharma Book, no doubt book is very good but thatʼs for CAT but not for Banking exams. If youʼre planning for next year SBI PO, then you can do Arun Sharma book but if your exam is within the next three months then you have to strictly do Mock tests only.
For DI, complete K Kundan (40 Exercises of DI Book) from BSC Publication. For Mains Level DI, you can refer the DI book by Oliveboard which covers all the latest pattern questions for practice.
English:
I did 35 out of 40 (confidently) in SBI PO Mains and in IBPS Clerk Mains I did 25 in English and scored 23.75. This mentioned score is not easy to be scored but with a smart strategy every average student can achieve it. I never read The Hindu or any Editorials. I read all the novels of Chetan Bhagat and I recommend you to read ‘The Fault in our Starsʼ Novel by John Green.
Watch hollywood web series like ‘13 Reasons Whyʼ and ‘Chernobylʼ with subtitles. I ensure you that your score will be doubled if you read some good novels.
GA:
I always made gk notes and followed Oliveboard Bolt. PIB Compilation By Oliveboard is also worth reading. For static GK, I have seen that students always do static portion which have been in the news but I suggest you to do static Gk completely. Watch Daily TNA so that you can score upto 80% in Gk. Itʼll help in the Interview specially.
This was my journey. Iʼve always been a lazy student still got selected in Canara and then in the SBI, means itʼs not about attempting so many mocks itʼs just about being relaxed and analysing mocks smartly.
Remember Mandelaʼs Quote: “It seems impossible until Itʼs Done.”
Thank you so much for reading till last line. God bless you all. Thank you Oliveboard for being there.
