Read the success story of Tushar Singhal, whose sole aim was to clear SBI PO exam but during this journey along with SBI PO, he cleared six other banking exams as well. His golden tip to aspirants, “Never give up. Trust in yourself, as success depends on consistent efforts and hard work.”
Inspiring Success Story of Tushar Singhal
Hello everyone, I am Tushar Singhal and I am here to share my success story of how I cleared SBI PO 2020 & various other exams. I belong to Jaipur, Rajasthan. I did B.tech in 2018. After graduation, SBI PO was my dream job. I have prepared for banking exams without taking any coaching.
Tushar’s Preparation Journey
I prepared for SBI PO 2019 and cleared pre, mains & interview but missed the final cut-off by 0.5 marks. Then I appeared in various exams like IDBI PO, RRB PO, SBI Clerk, LIC Assistant and cleared all of them. Then I joined SBI Clerk & worked in SBI for 5 months & then resigned because I got my joining in RRB PO.
In 2020, I left keeping hope because I ultimately want to clear SBI PO, and preparing for exams along with doing the job was difficult but still while working in RRB PO, I prepared for SBI PO & IBPS PO 2020. Then I got selected in SBI PO as well as IBPS PO. Currently, I am working as SBI PO. Apart from SBI PO, I got selected in IDBI PO, SBI Clerk, IBPS RRB PO, IBPS RRB Clerk, LIC Assistant, IBPS PO.
His Subject-wise Preparation Strategy
Reasoning & Quants
For reasoning & quants first I build concepts topic wise then build speed by doing mock tests. For puzzles, I categorize different types of puzzles separately like floor-based, month-based, circle-based, seating arrangement puzzles & then solve 5-6 each type of puzzles to know the concept.
English was difficult for me. I read basic grammar rules because in banking exams they don’t ask about grammar in depth. I read English newspapers daily & attempt mock tests.
Role of Oliveboard in Tushar’s Success
- I chose the Oliveboard mock test for pre-exam preparation.
- For current affairs, I opted for several sources, one of which was Oliveboard Bolt.
Tushar’s Tips for Aspirants
Focus on your weak sections give them more time and especially on the GA section because the GA section plays an important role in selection. Give 2 mock tests daily for pre and for mains preparation 1 mock daily but the most important is how you analyze the mocks. If you are giving daily more no. of mocks but not analyzing them properly will not be worth it.
Finally, I would like to say that if you want to achieve something, doing hard work is not the only key. You have to do smart work & manage your time efficiently. First, build concepts, then build speed. And be consistent at whatever you do. “Never give up. Trust in yourself.” Success depends on consistent efforts and hard work.
