Vande Bharat Express Introduced between Delhi and Katra

Vande Bharat express has been flagged off between Delhi and Katra. The commercial run of the train will begin from 5 October 2019.

Flagged off by Union Home Minister Mr. Amit Shah. The train no. for UP Delhi to Katra will be 22439 and for Down 22440 from Katra to Delhi.

This high-speed train will bring down the current travel time from Delhi to Katra and then to Vaishno Devi from 12 hours to 8 hours.

The train is designed and built by Integral Coach Factory Chennai under the supervision of Indian Government.

This train can run up to a speed of 160 km/h. First Vande Bharat train began its operation between Delhi and Varanasi early this year in Feb 2019.

Sachin Tendulkar Awarded with Most effective Swachhata Ambassador

In the province of Safaigiri Summit in New Delhi, Sachin Tendulkar was awarded the Most Effective Swachhata Ambassador.

This event was marked to commemorate Mahatma Gandhi on his 150th Birth Anniversary.

The Award was given by President of India Mr. Ramnath Kovind.

Sachin Tendulkar was nominated as a candidate by our Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2014.

United Nations has set sustainable development goals to be achieved by 2030.

Bank of Baroda teams up with Indian Army and signs MoU

Bank of Baroda has signed an MoU with the Indian Army for its customized service. It will include free personal accident insurance cover, free air accident insurance cover ranging from INR 15 lakhs to INR 50 Lakhs.

Overdraft Facility will be up to 3 times of monthly net salary.

The feature is also applicable to pensioners of up to 70 years of age of Indian Army.

NBCC appoints new Chairman and Managing Director

PK Gupta is appointed as the new Chairman and Managing Director of National Building Construction Corporation Limited (NBCC).

NBCC is a blue-chip company and is one of the Navratna enterprise of the Indian Government. It is headquartered in Delhi.

PK Gupta was priorly working as Executive Director of Engineering services company in RITES Limited.

SS Mallikarjun Rao appointed as new CMD of Punjab National Bank

Punjab National Bank has appointed SS Mallikarjun Rao as its new Chairman and Managing Director. He will replace the current CMD Sunil Mehta.

Prior to this appointment, SS Mallikarjun Rao was working as the CEO and MD of Allahabad Bank.

Oriental Bank of Commerce and United Bank of India are set to merge with Punjab National Bank.
