India Ranked 102 in World Hunger Index

India has been ranked at 102nd position in World Hunger Index. The report for World Hunger Index was compiled by ‘Concern Worldwide’.

A total of 117 countries were part of this index count of which India ranked 102. Central African Republic is in ‘extremely alarming’ level.

India is the lowest-ranked country in South Asia. Progress towards 2030 zero hunger target that was set by World leaders, seems to be under a big threat.

Air India becomes first Airlines to use Taxibot on its A320

Air India has become the first airline to use ‘taxibot’ for its Airbus A320. Taxibot is a machine which makes the movement of Airplane from the parking bay to the runway possible without switching on the Aircraft engines.

Air India is the first airlines in the world to use this technology.

This operation was performed at Indira Gandhi International Airport.

RBI Issues Guidelines for ‘on tap’ authorisation for payment systems

RBI has decided to offer ‘on tap’ authorisation to following:

  • Bharat Bill Payment Operating Unit (BBPOU)
  • Trade Receivables Discounting Systems (TReDS)
  • White Label ATM’s

Conditions common to all:

  • Companies registered under the Companies Act 2013.
  • Fit and Proper criteria will be assessed by RBI
  • Overall financial strength of the promoter

BBPOU’s – 100 cr net worth to be maintained at all time

TReDS – minimum paid-up capital of 25 cr.

WLA – 100 crore INR Net Worth

Government launches Food Safety Mitra Scheme

Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has introduced a scheme of Food Safety Mitra (FSM) through which it plans to engage motivated individuals with the food safety ecosystem at the ground level.

An FSM is an individual professional certified by FSSAI. They assist FSSAI in compliance related to FSS Act.
