What is the RRB NTPC Typing Proficiency Test?
The RRB NTPC typing proficiency test assesses a candidate’s typing skills and accuracy required for a particular post. Candidates who have applied for positions such as Senior Time Keeper, Junior Account Assistant cum Typist, and Senior Clerk cum Typist will have to undertake a typing proficiency test. The details of the typing test are given below:
- The duration of the test is 10 minutes.
- All candidates have to maintain a typing speed of 30 words per minute in English.
- Applicants will also have to maintain a typing speed of 25 words per minute in Hindi.
- Candidates will have to take the test on a computer that does not have any editing or spelling check features.

The RRB NTPC nationality criteria for students are given below:
- Candidates must be citizens of India
- Applicants who have Bhutan or Nepal citizenship are also eligible.
- Tibetan refugees who have been staying in India since January 1, 1962, with plans to settle down here, can also apply.
- Applicants of Indian origin who have arrived from Burma, Pakistan, East African countries of Uganda, Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Malawi, Zambia, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam to settle here are also eligible to apply.
