The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) is expected to release the Grade A notification soon for the post of Assistant Manager, including vacancies in the Legal Officer stream. The SEBI Grade A recruitment process will be based on candidates’ performance in Phase 1, Phase 2, and the final interview conducted by SEBI.

Phase 2 – Paper 1English (Descriptive Test) to test drafting skills. Maximum Marks: 100, Duration: 60 minutes, Weightage: 1/3. Must clear cut-off and have overall score ≥50% to be eligible for interview.
Phase 2 – Paper 2Legal Stream: 70 MCQs of 1 mark each + 3 Descriptive Questions of 10 marks each. Maximum Marks: 100, Duration: 120 minutes (60 min MCQ + 60 min Descriptive), Weightage: 2/3. Only 3× number of vacancies shortlisted for interview. Phase 2 marks carry 85% weightage.
InterviewAssesses legal knowledge, drafting skills, and personality. Weightage: 15% of final selection. Candidate can choose Hindi or English. Combined with Phase 2 marks for final merit.

The SEBI Grade A exam follows a well-structured selection process to recruit qualified candidates for the Grade A (Assistant Manager) Law Officer post.
