SSC CPO General Awareness Syllabus 2026: General Knowledge and General Awareness is an important part of both Paper 1 and Paper 2 under the revised SSC CPO 2026 exam pattern. A major change in 2026 is that General Awareness is no longer limited to Paper 1. It now appears in Paper 2 as well, where the difficulty level is higher. Candidates therefore need to prepare Static GK and Current Affairs for both stages instead of treating GA as a one-paper subject.

Yes. Under the revised SSC CPO 2026 pattern, General Knowledge and General Awareness is included in Paper 2 as well. Paper 2 now contains:

Is the SSC CPO GA Syllabus Different for Paper 1 and Paper 2?

The broad subject areas remain the same for Paper 1 and Paper 2. SSC has provided a common indicative syllabus for both papers. The important difference is the difficulty level. SSC specifically states that Paper 2 will be of a higher difficulty level than Paper 1. This means candidates should prepare in two stages:

• Paper 1: Strong factual knowledge and quick recall.
• Paper 2: Better conceptual understanding, deeper revision and practice with comparatively tougher questions.

Candidates should therefore avoid preparing GA only until the Paper 1 level.
