AIIMS NORCET Selection Process – Resolution of Tie Cases
In the event that two or more candidates receive equal marks, the following factors will be used to decide the tie, according to the 2023 recruitment notification standards.
- The authorities first examine the date of birth; older candidates are placed higher.
- If the candidates’ ages are the same, the authorities will review the incorrect answers/negative marking. The contestant with the fewest incorrect answers/negative decisions will be placed higher.
AIIMS NORCET Selection Process – Overall General Process
The selection process for AIIMS NORCET 2023 involves the following steps:
Step 1: Online Application The first step in the selection process is the online application. Candidates who wish to appear for the exam must apply online on the official website of AIIMS. The application form will be available for a specific period, and candidates must submit their applications before the deadline.
Step 2: Admit Card After the application process is complete, the next step is to download the admit card from the official website. Candidates must carry the admit card to the examination centre, along with a valid photo ID proof.
Step 3: Computer-Based Test The AIIMS NORCET 2023 exam will be conducted in an online mode, and it will test the candidate’s knowledge in various subjects related to medicine, including Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Pathology, Microbiology, and Community Medicine. The duration of the exam will be three hours, and it will consist of 200 multiple-choice questions.
Step 4: Result Declaration After the exam, AIIMS will release the result of the NORCET examination. Candidates can check their results online on the official website by using their login credentials.
Step 5: Counselling and Document Verification Based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the NORCET examination, AIIMS will prepare a merit list. Candidates who have secured a rank in the merit list will be called for counselling and document verification. During the counselling process, candidates must carry their original documents for verification. The documents required for verification include mark sheets, degree certificates, caste certificates (if applicable), and other relevant documents.
Step 6: Seat Allotment After document verification, candidates will be allotted seats based on their rank in the merit list and the availability of seats. The seat allotment process will be done through online mode, and candidates will have to log in to the official website and select their preferred college and course.
