19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022

The 19th Asian Games, officially known as the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022, is an upcoming international multi-sport event scheduled to be held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China from 23 September to 8 October 2023.

• This will be the third time China will be hosting the Event. Earlier events were in Beijing and Guangzhou, the cities of China, in 1990 and 2010.
• The games were originally scheduled to be held in 2022, but were postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
• There are 40 sports including swimming, archery, athletics, badminton, baseball and softball, basketball, boxing, etc., and 61 disciplines at Hangzhou Asian Games.
• Athletes will compete for 481 gold medals.
• The 19th Asian Games are expected to attract over 15,000 athletes from over 45 countries. The games are expected to generate over $10 billion in revenue.
