SBI Clerk Exam Analysis – Prelims Exam Pattern

The SBI Clerk Prelims contains 3 sections namely, Numerical Ability, Reasoning Ability & English Language. Further, we have covered what each section would look like.

Numerical Ability 

The numerical ability or the quant section will comprise a total of 35 questions with 20 minutes allotted to the section to complete it. Although there is no sectional cut-off, you need to score certain marks to qualify for the overall cutoff.

Reasoning Ability

The reasoning ability section again consists of 35 questions with a similar 20 minutes allotted to complete it. In this section, students are quizzed on their thinking and approach. Each question will carry 1 mark and a total of 35 marks are allocated.

English Language

English section has a bit different contribution to the total marks as compared to reasoning and numerical ability. A total of 30 questions will be there in this section and a total time of 20 minutes will be allocated.

100 questions are to be attempted in a given time of 60 minutes.  You will have to finish the maximum possible questions in the given time to assure clearing prelims and moving on to mains.
