An IFS Officer’s entire compensation, including all perks and benefits, would be roughly Rs 60000. This sum changes according to the country in which they are deployed. However, the Special Foreign Allowance makes a significant difference in an IFS Officer’s compensation. For example, if an IFS officer is assigned to the Indian Embassy in the United States, they are entitled to roughly Rs 2.40 lakhs per month in Special Foreign Allowance. An Indian Abroad Service officer’s foreign allowance varies depending on where they are assigned. As your grade and level climb, so does your allowance. The DA is now at 80% of Basic Pay, and if it is predicted to be around 90% of Basic Pay, the net salary of an IFS Officer of various grades would be as follows:
