The online applications for the Punjab Police SI started in the first week of July. The written exam is to be held from 17th to 31st of August. It will be a 2-hour computer-based exam. Candidates must note that the written exam is conducted before the PST (Physical Screening Test). Punjab Police SI Selection Process
The Selection Process will be carried out in two modes:
1 ) Written Based Test
2 ) Physical Screening Test
Important Points :
- Unlike the previous year, this time Written Test will be conducted before the Physical Screening Test.
- The candidates who clear the Written Based Test will only appear for the Physical Screening Test.
- Merit would be given only based on the Computer-based Written Based Test
- The exam dates for the Computer-based Written Based Test might differ because of the current pandemic situation.

Important Points
1 . The Punjab Police SI Exam will be an objective type paper.
2 . In total, there would be 200 Questions carrying a total of 800 marks.
3 . The minimum marks required is 400 marks by combining both the papers, i.e., 50% marks are required
4 . The question paper would be in both English and Punjabi language
5 . The time duration for both the paper would be 2 hrs
6 . Negative marking would be 25% for each incorrect answer.
7 . Paper 1 would have subjects General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude & Numerical Skills, Punjabi Language.
8 . Paper 2 would have subjects Logical & Analytical Reasoning and Data Interpretation, Digital Literacy & Computer Awareness, English Language.
