Punjab Police SI Selection Process – 2021

Punjab Police SI Exam selection process involves two stages, such as

Stage I: Computer-Based Test (CBT). This test comprises two multiple-choice question papers, which the board conducts on the same day.

Stage II: The applicants who qualify for CBT appear for Stage II, which involves three rounds:

  • Document Scrutiny 
  • PMT (Physical Measurement Test)
  • PST (Physical Screening Test)

Punjab Police SI Exam Pattern 

The CBT for Punjab Police SI will comprise two multiple-choice question papers. Both papers will come in Punjabi and English languages. Each exam will have 100 questions of four marks each. The duration for each paper will be 2 hours, and there will be negative marking for each wrong answer. Hence, for every right answer, the applicant will get 4 marks, while for each wrong answer, they will deduct 1 mark. So, applicants have to be very sure before answering any question.

Punjab Police SI Exam 2021 Document Scrutiny

Applicants who clear the CBT round will qualify for the second round. The board will call all those applicants for Document Scrutiny on the designated date(s), time, and at the place mentioned in their admit cards. Candidates can check the information on the official web portal as well. 

All applicants need to bring the following certificates in original and their one self-attested copy for the document scrutiny:

  • Matriculation certificate as proof of age
  • Proof of Graduation degree or equivalent. Proof of Computer Qualification as mentioned above (If applying for the post of Intelligence Officer)
  • Proof of Punjabi language at Matriculation level or equivalent
  • Proof/Certificate if belonged to a reserved category (issued by the Competent Authority)
  • No Objection Certificate (NOC) if the candidate is a serving government employee (from the Head of Department/Office concerned)

Punjab Police SI Physical Measurement Test (PMT)
