RBI Assistant vs SSC CGL – Exam Pattern

RBI Asssitant SSC CGL
Prelims

  • There will be 3 sections namely English language, Reasoning ability and Quantitative ability in the test with a total timing of 1 hour. 0.25 negative marking is there.
  • Candidates will have to clear the sectional as well as the overall cutoff in order to appear for the next level of the exam. Total marks for the exam will be 100.
Tier1 

  • There are a total of 4 sections in this exam with time allotment an overall time of 1 hour. Negative marking of 0.50 is there.
  • Candidates need to clear overall cutoff to appear for the Tier 2.

Tier 2

  • Tier 2 consists of 4 papers: Paper I, Paper-II, Paper III and Paper IV and will be conducted online. Each paper comprises of 100 questions with a maximum marks of 200.  A total of 120 mins is allotted to the candidate to write the paper.
  • In Tier-II, there will be negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer in Paper-II (English Language and Comprehension) and of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer in Paper-I, Paper-III and Paper IV.
  • Candidates need to clear overall cutoff to appear for the Tier 3.

Tier 3

Tier 3 will be descriptive paper and will be pen and paper-based examination. Candidates will be given a total of 60 minutes for this exam and will be in English/Hindi.

Tier 4

The SSC CGL exam is conducted for various types of profiles, hence, in this stage post specific test/verification is done. It could be either of the following:-

  • Computer Proficiency Test
  • Skill Test (wherever applicable)
  • Document Verification
Mains

  • The candidates will be tested in 5 sections of this exam namely Computer, English Knowledge, Bank/economy/general awareness, numerical ability and computer aptitude. Total time allotment to the exam is 2 hours.
  • Candidates will have to clear the sectional as well as the overall cutoff in this exam also clear the level. A negative marking of 1/4th is there in the exam.
