RRB Group D Exam Pattern Changed CBT Stage 2 Added – Check Now

As per the RRB Group D Notification released on March 2019, the RRB Group D exam was expected to be conducted in a single stage. Today i.e. on 24 January 2022 RRB has released a notice stating a change in the RRB Group D Exam commencing from 23 February 2022. RRB has introduced RRB Group D CBT-2 Exam as the 2nd stage of the selection process, for which the exam pattern has been discussed below & the syllabus remains the same as for CBT-1.

Shortlisting of Candidates for CBT 2: Fifteen (15) times of the notified vacancies

There will be negative marking for incorrect answers in the CBT. 1/3 of the marks allotted for each question will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Based on the merit of the candidates in the CBT, candidates shall be called for PET. Three times the community wise total vacancy of the Posts notified against RRBs/RRCs. Passing Physical Efficiency Test (PET) is mandatory, and the same will be qualifying in nature. The criterion for PET is as under:

Should be able to lift and carry 35 Kg of weight for a distance of 100 metres in 2minutes in one chance without putting the weight down, and should be able to run for a distance of 1000 metres in 4 minutes and 15 seconds in one chance.Should be able to lift and carry 20 Kg of weight for a distance of 100 metres in 2minutes in one chance without putting the weight down, and should be able to run for a distance of 1000 metres in 5 minutes and 40 seconds in one chance.

Document Verification

Based on the performance of candidates in CBT 2 subject to their qualifying in PET, the number of candidates to be called for Document Verification(DV) shall henceforth be equal to the number of notified vacancies (i.e. in the ratio of 1:1).
