The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) is expected to release the Grade A notification soon for the post of Assistant Manager, including vacancies in the Legal Officer stream. The SEBI Grade A recruitment process will be based on candidates’ performance in Phase 1, Phase 2, and the final interview conducted by SEBI.

Phase 2 – Paper 2Type: 70 MCQs (1 mark each) + 3 Descriptive Questions (10 marks each)

Weightage: 2/3 of Phase 2 score
Only around 3 times the number of vacancies are shortlisted for the interview
Phase 2 carries 85% weightage in the final selection
InterviewPurpose: Evaluates legal knowledge, communication skills, drafting ability, and overall personality

Weightage: 15% of the final selection
Final merit is prepared using Phase 2 marks and Interview marks

The SEBI Grade A exam follows a well-structured selection process to recruit qualified candidates for the Grade A (Assistant Manager) Law Officer post.
