SSC CGL Documents Required For CBT Exam (Tier 1 & 2)

To appear for the SSC CGL (Combined Graduate Level) examination, candidates are required to carry certain documents to the examination center. Additional Document for Date of Birth Verification	If the photo identity card does not contain the complete Date of Birth, an additional original document is required with the date and name of birth as printed on the admission certificate. Examples include: – Admit Card of 10th Class issued by CBSE/ICSE/State Boards – Pass Certificate of 10th Class issued by CBSE/ICSE/State Boards – Marks Sheet of 10th Class issued by CBSE/ICSE/State Boards – Birth Certificate – Category Certificate issued by Central Govt/State Govt/PSUs Note: Any mismatch in the date and name of birth will disqualify the candidate from appearing in the examination.

Things Not Allowed In The SSC CGL Examination Hall

Candidates must adhere to specific guidelines to ensure a smooth examination process. Bringing prohibited items and following dress code rules is crucial for maintaining the examination environment.

Dress Code and Accessories	– Avoid wearing items like nose pins, bracelets, earrings, charms, kadas. – If religious or customs require wearing specific attire, arrive early as security checks might take more time.
Bags and Prohibited Items	– Do not bring bags or prohibited items to the examination venue. – Candidates must arrange for the safe custody of such items themselves. – The commission will not be responsible for the safekeeping of any such items.
Stationery Provided	– Pen and paper for rough work will be provided in the examination lab.

SSC CGL Document Required For Verification 2025

The SSC CGL Document Verification procedure will be conducted by the respective department in which the candidates will be posted. Candidates have to submit their documents to the departments and get them verified to be eligible to join their posts officially. Change of Name Documents	Marriage: Photocopy of the husband’s passport or an attested copy of the marriage certificate or affidavit with a joint photograph. Re-marriage: Divorce Deed/ Death Certificate of the first spouse, photocopy of current husband’s passport or marriage certificate or affidavit with a joint photograph. Divorce: Certified copy of Divorce Decree and Deed Poll/ Affidavit. Other Changes: Deed Poll/ Affidavit, and paper cuttings from two daily newspapers (one from the applicant’s permanent or current address area), and Gazette Notification.
