Inspiring Success Story of Aman Srivastava
Hello everyone I’m Aman Srivastava from Bhadohi (UP). I have done B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering in 2014. Recently, I have been selected in RRB PO.
Well after completing my B. Tech I have tried private jobs in technical fields. I have worked for almost 4 years in private firms but I was not satisfied with those private jobs. Then in 2018 I started preparing for banking exams as my elder brother is also working in a bank, he guided me in the initial stage of preparation. I gave IBPS exams in 2018 and had no clue about the exam but slowly and steadily I kept on my preparation and in 2019 I was able to clear prelims but failed in mains. Through this process, I gained confidence and kept on with my practice. In 2020, I did qualify IBPS RRB PO and CLERK prelims. Failed in Clerk Mains but cleared PO mains though. For the first time, I went ahead with the interview and was finally selected as PO in BARODA UP BANK.

Aman Srivastava Subject-Wise Preparation Strategy
Quant- This section is average for me. Firstly I cleared my basics and then only I attempted questions in mock tests. Generally, the quant section appears to be tough but I think if your basics are clear you can easily score well in this section. For this section, solve at least 2-3 high-level DI’s on a daily basis.
Reasoning- I am above average in this section. I like this section because each topic in this section was new for me so I did take more interest in this and solved more questions and practiced daily. For this section, solve at least 2 puzzles on a daily basis. It really helped me in clearing the exam.
General awareness- This is the weak section in my preparation, I was unable to score in this section because I was unable to remember things easily. But I started writing daily current affairs and revising in a week. With this strategy, my scores were increasing exam by exam. The Oliveboard BOLT series was very helpful for me.
English- I always scored well in this section. I always read newspapers daily and just made my vocabulary better. I think if you read newspaper articles daily it’s enough for you to crack this section.

Hindi- As I have done my schooling from Hindi medium school I have a good command of Hindi grammar so in the RRB exam I was very comfortable in this section and this section has helped me to boost my score.
Computer- This section is good for me because I am more interested in computer knowledge. In the exam, very normal questions were asked in the computer section. I have prepared with the Oliveboard computer capsule and believe me that was enough for the exam.

I have taken the Oliveboard IBPS PO course in 2019 and believe me my basics were cleared with that course, especially in reasoning. I have also cleared IBPS PO prelims that year, sadly was not able to clear mains.
