Success Story of Abhishek Bakshi – Introduction

I am Abhishek Bakshi, I am from Jamtara, Jharkhand. Graduated in 2019. I have worked at JSW Steel as an electrical engineer for a year and half. Till now I have appeared for IBPS RRB PO interview. Cleared sbi clerk mains, Niacl ao prelims, GIC Re written, RRB clerk prelims.

Brief Description 

I began my preparation in February 2021. I followed a step by step approach, first getting the basics done then practice prelims mocks and then mains mocks along with practice with Oliveboard’s classes on YouTube. 

Preparation Strategy

QUANT – Calculation techniques. Chapter wise basics Prelims level questions on OB YT and mocks on Oliveboard. Lokesh sir’s mains level classes on YT and then mocks for mains from OB 

REASONING – YouTube videos to familiarize with the questions types and approaches to solve them. Then continued with mocks specially for puzzles and seating arrangement. Analyzing mocks to determine weak and strong areas in this and attempting the next mock accordingly

ENGLISH – started with grammar for errors and phrase replacement, then RCs and para jumble practice, didn’t read too much but just the minimum amount. 2-3 pages a day. Followed Harshita ma’am’s video classes on YouTube. Then attempted mocks first prelims and then mains level mocks. 

GA – followed one pdf source bolt and one video source. I used to watch youtube videos and then revise it with the pdf. Weekly quizzes and mocks for practice.

Tips or advice for the fellow aspirants

Get the basics done, spend time on questions and struggle, and go for methodological approaches initially. Start giving prelims mocks, with short approaches to questions if needed. But focus on concepts for mains. Prelims mocks to begin with then after a few satisfactory mocks go for mains mocks. Solving questions from OB mocks is enough. Also keep on watching the videos on OB YT  in order to maintain regularity.
