Hello guys, I am Shubham from Kanpur. I have completed my B.Sc in 2017 and started preparing for SSC CGL, and in my very first attempt I was able to clear tier-1 as well as tier-2 but unfortunately due to the stay, tier-3 got delayed and hence at that time I switched to bank prep.

Initially, I was preparing from various sources but after a lot of research, I came through the Oliveboard test series which gave me the quality content and mock tests for clearing my doubts.

I revised the basics and practiced a lot of questions by discussing with faculties of Oliveboard in 1-1 doubt sessions.

2. Section-wise Preparation Strategy

2.1 Quant Section Preparation Strategy

First, clear the basics. Understand the concept and practice with Kiran publication for miscellaneous questions. Quant was my strength as I prepared for CGL.

2.2 Reasoning Section Preparation Strategy

I referred to Oliveboard’s mock tests and solved quizzes for high-level puzzles. I have solved these questions on a daily basis to achieve the best timing in solving puzzles. Oliveboard mock tests are sufficient for this section.

2.3 English Section Preparation Strategy

This section was a little bit tough for me as I completed my schooling from the Hindi medium. So, I tried to get average marks in this section. Initially, try to read at least 1-2 editorial every 2- 3 days and then gradually move to newspaper reading on a daily basis.

2.4 General Awareness Section Preparation Strategy

This section needs a variety of platforms as I prepared from monthly chronicle magazines and other YouTube channels.

You may score low at times in these mock tests but never get disheartened due to your scores during preparation. It’s okay to make mistakes. But it is important to learn from your weak areas and work even harder to improve.

So never lose patience and hope. If you can manage to keep yourself dedicated then half of your work is already sorted.
