SBI opens up a branch in Victoria, Australia
SBI becomes the first Indian bank to open up a branch in Victoria, Australia. This step is taken to boost the investment relations between India and the Australian state.
The bank was inaugurated in the presence of Victoria’s parliamentary secretary to the treasurer, Steve Dimopoulos.

First copy of the book was handed over to King of the Netherlands Willem – Alexander, in the presence of Queen Maxima of the Netherlands.
The event was jointly organized by the Embassy of India and the Royal Asian Art Society in the Netherlands.
Oppo India Signs MoU with Kerala Government
Oppo India has announced that it will tie up with Kerala Government under the Kerala Startup Mission(KSUM) to boost the startup ecosystem in the Country.
Oppo plans to nurture the ecosystem for students, entrepreneurs and other start-up cohorts in the state.
Fields that will be on the priority list for Oppo are camera and image processing, battery, networks (5G), system performance, payments, AI and gaming.

Novartis tied up Microsoft to produce the drug with the help of Artificial Intelligence.

Economist Surjit Bhalla Appointed as Executive Director for India at IMF
IMF has appointed Surjit Bhalla as the Executive Director for India. This position was vacant since the death of Mr. Subir Gokarn in July 2019.
His appointment has been cleared by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He will be posted at this position for the tenure of 3 years.
