Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission is responsible for recruiting qualified candidates for the post of Civil Judge. UP Judiciary Board has issued a notification to fill 333 Civil Judge vacancies. You need to clear the prelims, mains and interviews to get this job. UP Judiciary Eligibility Criteria

UP  Judiciary Eligibility is released in the official notification. Candidates who wish to apply for the UP judiciary exam must check the official notification to avoid future problems. The eligibility criteria include educational qualification, age limit, and some general requirements to be fulfilled. 

• Educational Qualification

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Law from a reputed University in Uttar Pradesh or equivalent in LAW from a recognized college or university.  The candidate should also have knowledge of the Devanagari script of the Hindi language. These were some educational criteria that would decide the eligibility of a candidate. 

• Age Limit

For the general category, candidates aged between 22 and 35 years are considered eligible, as mentioned on the official website. Similarly, there is provision for other categories too. • General Requirements 

The candidate applying for this exam should be INDIAN and should not have any criminal history. The candidate should be of sound health and moral character.

UP Judiciary Application Process

To register for the UP Judicial Services Online Exam, the candidate must follow the steps below:

Step 1: Candidates have to visit the official website of UP Public Service Commission to apply and then click on the application form link. 

Step 2: The required details must be entered by the respective candidate. These details include name, address, date of birth, education etc.

Step 3: After that, the candidate must upload a scanned passport size photograph in the required format and size along with his signature.

Step 4: Here comes the last stage, where the candidate needs to pay the respective fees.

UP Judiciary Exam Application Fees

The Application fees for the UP Judiciary examination are different for different categories of candidates. The fee structure is given below; you must pay according to the category you fall under. 

The fees for the general category and the OBC category candidates are the same, Rs. 125/-, and for the ST/ST/PWD category candidates, the application fees are comparatively low, only Rs. 65/-.

UP Judiciary Selection Process

The selection process for the UP Judiciary exam consists of three rounds of prelims, mains and interview rounds. The prelims part consists of MCQs. The written test consists of 2  papers –  general knowledge and Law. The first paper is for 150 marks and the Second paper is for 300 marks. The duration of each paper is 2 hours. In the main exam, the five descriptive type exams have 200 marks each.
