UP SI Vacancy – Last Year Vacancy Trends
The graph below shows the prominent UP Police SI vacancy as per UP SI Notifications in the years of 2015, 2016, 2018, and 2020. Although few of them were cancelled and restarted again, these were the most significant of all UP SI Direct Recruitments.
In the year 2015, the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board had invited applications for 2064 Sub Inspector Posts. The board was excepting offline application till 20 October 2015 that year.

In the year 2016, UP Police issued a notification for recruitment of 3307 Sub Inspector posts. Eligible candidates could apply offline on prescribed application format on or before 15-07-2016.
In the late 2018, 5623 SI vacancy was released but the exam was not conducted due to some reasons. This recruitment also included 484 Platoon Commander/SI AP and 23 Fire Service Second Officer. Total vacancy then became 6130.

UP Police SI Vacancy 2020 | Online Written Examination
UP Police Sub-Inspector exam is conducted online, as it is the most effective and reliable way of exam conduction. Check the exam pattern and the important points of the UP Police SI written exam.

- The question will be objective type.
- The exam will be of a total of 400 marks.
- There is no negative marking for any wrong answer.

- Female Candidates should at least weigh 40 kgs.
- Male Candidates should have a minimum of 5 cms of chest expansion.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Candidates who clear the Physical Standard test will qualify for the Physical Efficiency Test. Candidates have to cover a certain distance in a specific time period, details of which are mentioned below
Race –
- Male – 4.8 KMs in 28 minutes.
- Female – 2.4 KMs in 16 minutes.

UP SI Notification – Eligibility Criteria
Education Qualification
- Candidates should be graduate holders in any discipline from a recognized board/university
- The candidates applying for the post of Fire Officer 2 must be a Science Graduate.
Age Limit
Candidates should be of ages between 21-28 years as of 1st July 2021.
Relaxations in upper age limit shall be provided to SC,ST and such category candidates as per the Govt rules.
