SSC CHSL 2023 Age Limit

Candidates must be aware of the age limit criteria before applying for the SSC CHSL 2023. We have mentioned below the age limit in detail:

Minimum Age Limit:18 years. Candidates must have attained the age of 18 years as of 01 August 2023 to fulfill the age limit criterion.

Maximum Age Limit: 27 years. The upper SSC CHSL age limit is capped at 27 years. However, age relaxation is given to the candidates belonging to the reserved categories.

Note: The crucial date for age reckoning is fixed as 01-08-2023 in accordance with the provisions. The age limit for the posts is 18-27 years i.e. Candidates born not before 02-08-1996 and not later than 01-08-2005 are eligible to apply.

SSC CHSL 2023 –  Age Relaxation

The SSC CHSL age relaxation is permissible according to exam rules. The main points of relaxation on the upper age limit are listed below. The following are the upper age limits for various reserved categories of candidates applying for SSC CHSL 2023 recruitment:

08	Defence personnel disabled in operation during hostilities with any foreign country or in a disturbed area and released as a consequence thereof.	3 years
09	Defence personnel disabled in operation during hostilities with any foreign country or in a disturbed area and released as a consequence thereof (SC/ ST).	8 years
10	Central Government civilian employees who have rendered 3 or more years of regular and continuous service as on closing date for receipt of online applications.	Up to 40 years of age
11	Central Government civilian employees who have rendered 3 or more years of regular and continuous service as on closing date for receipt of online applications (SC/ ST).	Up to 45 years of age
12	Widows/Divorced women or judicially separated women and who are not remarried.	Up to 35 years of age
13	Widows/Divorced women or judicially separated women and who are not remarried (SC/ ST).	Up to 40 years of age

Is SSC CHSL 2023 age limit increased?

No, The SSC CHSL 2023 Age Limit has not been increased in the new notification. Staff Selection Commission has not made any changes in the age limit of the Combined Higher Secondary Level Examinations.
