RBI sets timeline for reversal of failed Electronic Transactions

RBI has set up a framework defining the Turn around time for the reversal of failed electronic transactions.

In case, if the customer’s account is debited, but the cash is not dispensed from the atm, the bank has to proactively look into the matter and reverse the fail transaction within T+5 days.

Timeline will 1 day for UPI and IMPS Transactions, when these medium of transfers fail.

If the bank fails to reverse the transaction within the defined limit of 5 days, a charge of 100/- INR per day will be payable to the account holder.

Assembly Polls to take place on Oct 21 in Haryana and Maharashtra

Haryana and Maharashtra will be undergoing assembly elections on 21 Oct 2019. Votes counting on 24 Oct 2019.

Chief Election Commissioner will be Mr Sunil Arora. Two election commissioner Mr Ashok Lavasa and Mr Sushil Chandra will accompany the Chief Election Commissioner.

Maharashtra has 288 seats while Haryana has 88 seats. Electorate count for Maharashtra will be around 8.9 cr while for Haryana it will be around 1.82 cr.

Governor for these states are:

Maharashtra- Bhagat Singh Koshyari

Haryana- Satyadev Narayan Arya

RKS Bhadauria will be New Indian Air Force Chief

Rakesh Kumar Singh Bhaduria is going to be New chief of Indian Air Force. He will take care of the position for the next 3 years.

He will replace the current Chief of IAF Birender Singh Dhanoa.

RKS Bhadauria is a native Korath village near Agra. He is an alumnus of National Defense Academy.

Indian Air Force came into existence on 8th October 1932. IAF headquarter is in New Delhi.

IDBI appoints new Deputy Managing Director

Mr Samuel Joseph is going to take over the charge as the next Deputy Managing Director of IDBI Bank.

He will serve in this position for the term of 3 years. He will be succeeding Mr KP Nair.

After the acquisition by LIC, this is the bank’s first major appointment.

MD and CEO of IDBI Bank is Mr Rakesh Sharma.

Chairman of the LIC is Mr MR Kumar.

LIC has 51% stakeholding in IDBI Bank. IDBI is now a Private Bank.

Max Bupa and Indian Bank join hands to offer Health Insurance solution

Max Bupa and Indian Bank have joined hands to provide health insurance solutions to customers of Indian bank.

MD and CEO of Max Bupa- Mr Ashish Mehrotra

MD and CEO Of Indian Bank- Ms. Padmaja Chunduru

Max Bupa has proposed to offer both Retail and Group Health Insurance besides Indemnity and Fixed benefits products.
