- Stenographer Grade “C‟: 18 to 30 years as on 01.01.2020
- Stenographer Grade “D‟: 18 to 27 years as on 01.01.2020
SSC Stenographer 2019 – Educational Requirements
Minimum Education Qualification -: Candidate must have cleared the 12th (HSC) Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.
SSC Stenographer Recruitment 2019 – How to Apply
Applications are required to be submitted in online mode only at the official website of SSC Headquarters i.e. https://ssc.nic.in. For detailed instructions, please refer to Annexure-III and Annexure-IV of the Official Notification.

SSC Stenographer Recruitment 2019 – Selection Process
The SSC Stenographer 2019-20 Recruitment Examinations will have 2 stages -:
1) Online Computer Based Exam
2) Skill Test
SSC Stenographer 2019 Online Exam – Pattern

Note -: (Total time will be 2 hours and 40 minutes for the candidates who are allowed use of scribe)
There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
SSC Stenographer 2019 Skill Test – Pattern
The candidate who clear the Online Test will be called for the Skill Test. It will contain -:
Dictation for 10 minutes in English or Hindi (as opted by the candidates in the online Application Form) at the speed of 100 word per minute (w.p.m) for the post of Stenographer Grade “C” and 80 w.p.m. for the post of Stenographer Grade “D”.
The matter will have to be transcribed on computer. The transcription time is as follows:

After selection, candidates who had given the skill test in Hindi, will have to learn English Stenography and vice versa. Failing to do so might result in no clearance of Probation.
