BPSC PCS Exam Pattern
The BPSC selection process is divided into three stages: preliminary examination, main examination, and interview. To advance to the next level, candidates must pass each round. Before applying for the BPSC exam, candidates should read the eligibility requirements carefully. If any fraudulent information is discovered during or after the interview process, the candidate will be disqualified.

Stage 1: Preliminary Exam
- The first round of the BPSC’s selection process is the Preliminary exam, which consists of objective questions.
- There are 150 questions in the preliminary exam, each worth one mark.

Stage 2: Mains

Stage 3: Interview
The BPSC interview round is the final stage of the selection process; candidates will be called for the final round only if they meet all of the eligibility criteria & have cleared the prelims and mains exams. However, the final merit list will be generated based on the results of the mains exam and the interview phase.
During the interview process, the Bihar Public Service Commission board will assess the candidates’ general knowledge, physical standards, personal traits, and competencies relevant to the position. If the board finds that the candidate is qualified for the post based on their overall performance, they will be put through a physical standard exam and a document verification process.
