SBI PO Prelims: Expected Cut Offs & Exam Analysis

The SBI PO Prelims 2016 was similar to last year’s pattern with minor surprises thrown in. Only the Reasoning section threw a few surprises – Candidates were surprised by the absence of Syllogism & Coding-Decoding while they were unpleasantly surprised with the increased number of Analytical Reasoning Questions that made this section relatively more difficult than the same paper last year. The SBI Clerk Main exam conducted over the weekend in a new sectional timing pattern did spring a surprise or two at the candidates. The paper was tougher than most students anticipated. The biggest surprise was the absence of Computer Knowledge questions in the entire paper. This made the Reasoning section all the more difficult with no time relief with the anticipated Computer Knowledge questions. Detailed analysis follows.
