From 4th January until 14th January 2022, online applications will be accepted for the Coast Guard Navik recruitment. In the most recent ICG Navik GD recruitment, 260 positions were advertised. Selection Process 

There are a total of 4 stages in the selection process of the Coast Guard Navik Exam, namely the written exam, the physical fitness test, medical exam, and document verification. 

  1. Written exam – This stage will consist of an objective-based exam which will be conducted in two sections- 1 and 2 
  2. Physical Fitness test – only those candidates who clear the written exam will be allowed to take the physical fitness test. A number of physical activities will be conducted, such as push-ups, squats, running, etc. 
  3. Medical exam – after the above two stages, a medical examination will take place in which the candidates have to meet minimum requirements relating to height, weight, chest, etc. Along with this, eyesight and hearing are also checked. 
  4. Document verification – All the candidates who have cleared all the three stages will have to appear for document verification which is the final stage in the selection process.

Exam Pattern

There are two papers in the Coast Guard Navik Exam, i.e., Section 1 and Section 2. There are different subjects such as Physics, Maths, Knowledge of English, Basic Chemistry, Current Affairs, General Knowledge, Reasoning, and Quantitative Aptitude.

Physical Fitness Test –

Only those candidates who clear the written exam will be allowed to give the physical fitness test. The following parameters should be met-

  1. 1.6 km to be run and completed in 7 minutes
  2. 10 Push-Ups
  3. 20 Squat Ups

Medical Test – 

The medical criteria to be fulfilled is given in the table below-

Chest Well Proportioned Chest with a minimum expansion of 5cms
Height Height should be at least 7cms
Weight Proportionate to age and height 10% acceptable
Visual6/6 (Better Eye) and 6/9 (Worse Eye). Also, candidates using glasses are not eligible
Hearing Normal
TattooPermanent Tattoos are not allowed

  3. You will have to enter details such as Registration Number, Roll number,  name, date of birth, etc.
  4. Click on the submit button, and the admit card will appear on the screen. 
  5. Download the admit card for future reference.
