Union Steel Minister Dharmendra Pradhan launched ‘Mission Purvodaya’ in Kolkata, aimed at the accelerated development of eastern India through establishments of integrated steel hub.
The Naval version of indigenous Light Combat Aircraft (LCA), made its first successful landing on the aircraft carrier INS Vikramaditya. The aircraft is developed by DRDO.
Union Minister for Women and Child Development and Textiles, Smriti Irani launched ‘Yashaswini Scheme’ for women entrepreneurship at Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Stadium in Goa, along with the Swasthya Sakhi Project and breast cancer screening initiative.
Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated 2 projects named VISWAS(Video Integration & State-wise Advanced Security) & AASHVAST that will play a key role in preventing crimes in the state.
The government released the Energy Efficiency Index 2019, which tracks the progress of Energy Efficiency Initiatives in 36 States & UTs. The index is developed by Bureau of Energy Efficiency in association with Alliance for an Energy-Efficient Economy.
