JKSSB VLW Posts 2022 : JKSSB VLW notification was released on 26th May 2022 for the recruitment of 1395 candidates for the post of Panchayat Secretary / VLW (Village Level Worker) under the Rural Development & Panchyati Raj department. The post of Village level worker (VLW) / Panchayat Secretary in the Rural Development Department under JKSSB is an entry-level Group C Post. The pay scale of the JKSSB Panchayat Secretary falls under Level-2 (19900 – 63200). It includes DA, TA and other allowances.

Gram Panchayat Secretary discharges all the duties and exercise all the powers specifically imposed or conferred by or under the Panchayat Raj Act
Attend the meetings of the Panchayat and of the Standing Committees and may take part in the discussions in an advisory capacity without a right to move any resolution or to vote
The Secretary is responsible for conducting and attending the meetings of the Gram Sabha, Gram Panchayat, its committees and standing committees
Keeps accounts of the incomes and grants, and prepares the annual budget estimates. Prepare the monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual statement of the Accounts.
Makes authorized payments and keeps safe custody of the Panchayat fund
Prepare, maintains and publishes voters list of the Gram Sabha
Prepare Muster Roll and other records of each work according to the sanction and prescribed rules.
Inspect or cause to be inspected the accounts of the institutions under the control of the Panchayat.
Maintain and update the Birth and Death records
Co-ordinate and support the different Department’s works and Rural programs being implemented in the Gram Panchayat.
Take care of the public buildings and other fixed assets of the Gram Panchayat and prevent encroachments.
