The Government has decided to replace the Preliminary examination for the major government departments and organisations. A common eligibility test will be conducted instead. NRA will be conducting CET for recruitment to the Non-Gazetted posts in the Central Government. The NRA CET examination will be held twice a year, and test scores will be valid for three years. There will be more than 1000 examination centres across the county. The aim is to provide an examination centre in every district. The test scores will also be used to shortlist the names of the successful candidates for the higher-level exams conducted by different organisations. NRA CET Exam Dates 

The Union Cabinet has recently approved the creation of the National Recruitment Agency. However, there is no clarity on when the government will create the agency. Therefore, most probably, the notification of NRA CET will be released in December 2021. The   NRA CET tentative examination dates are given below:

NRA CET Eligibility Criteria 2021

The official recruitment notification for the NRS CET examination will be released by the authority very soon. The candidates can go through the Eligibility to see if they qualify to apply for the relevant posts. The expected Eligibility criteria are given below:

Age Limit 2021

The Age limit is not declared by the authorities yet. There will be minimum and maximum age limit criteria for Eligibility which the authorities will declare. Upper Age Relaxations for different reserved categories – Scheduled Tribe (ST), Scheduled Caste (SC), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Persons with Disabilities (PwD), and others too will be mentioned in the official recruitment notification. The upper age relaxations will be provided according to the rules and regulations of the Government.

Education Qualification 

The NRA CET will be conducted for three levels:

• Class 10th level
• Class 12th level
• Graduation level

1. 10th Pass Level: The candidates applying for the NRA- CET for the 10th Pass level examination would have different educational qualification requirements. The minimum educational requirement is a 10th pass from a recognised Board.
2. 12th Pass Level: Candidates for the 10 2 exam level will have to qualify based on the level at which they will appear in the CET 12th pass from a recognised Board.
3. Graduation Level: The educational qualification may have different requirements for the NRA CET graduation level examination. The candidates must hold a graduation degree or its equivalent from a recognised university.

Nationality 

The candidate has to be an Indian Citizen to be eligible to take the NRA CET examination. The candidates will require to produce a certificate as proof of Nationality during the process of document verification.

Number Of Attempts 2021

The authorities have not set any restrictions on the number of attempts by a candidate. Candidates can apply as many times as they want as long as they fulfil the age criteria of the NRA CET examination.
