What educational qualification is required for RBI Grade B?
Candidates must have a valid degree from a recognised university. For the General post, a graduation degree with 60% marks is sufficient; however, higher qualifications can also be considered.
- Graduation in any discipline with 60% marks (General/OBC/EWS)
- 50% marks required for SC/ST/PwBD candidates
- Postgraduate degree allowed with 55% marks
- DEPR stream: Master’s in Economics, Finance or related fields
- DSIM stream: Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, AI, ML etc.

How many attempts are allowed in RBI Grade B exam?
RBI limits the number of attempts only for certain categories. General and EWS candidates have a fixed limit of 6 attempts. The details of the allowed limits are as follows:

- EWS category: maximum 6 attempts
- SC/ST/OBC/PwBD: no fixed attempt limit

- A subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or
- A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of settling permanently, or
- A person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam with the intention of permanent settlement in India.
