SEBI IT Officer Syllabus
The Securities and Exchange Board of India has released the Grade A notification with a total of 110 vacancies for the SEBI Grade A (Assistant Manager) post, including 22 vacancies for the IT Officer. The SEBI Grade A recruitment process is based on the candidates’ performance in Phase 1, Phase 2, and the Interview conducted by SEBI.
This year, the SEBI Grade A IT Officer exam pattern has been revised. Previously, a coding test was conducted in the IT stream Phase 2 Paper 2 exam. However, it has now been replaced with multiple-choice questions (MCQs) based on various IT topics.

SEBI Grade A IT Officer Exam Pattern
The SEBI Grade A IT Exam Pattern 2025 includes multiple-choice questions (MCQs). These questions test candidates on subjects like Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability, English Language, and other related areas. SEBI Grade A IT Officer Selection Process
The SEBI Grade A exam follows a well-structured selection process to recruit qualified candidates for the Grade A (Assistant Manager) IT Officer post. The process has been curated to assess candidates’ knowledge, technical skills, and overall suitability for the role through multiple stages of evaluation.
- The selection process will be conducted in three phases, Phase I, Phase II, and Interview.
- Phase I will be an online examination consisting of two papers.
- Candidates who qualify in Phase I will be shortlisted to appear for Phase II.
- Phase II will also be an online examination with two papers.
- Candidates who clear Phase II will be called for a Personal Interview.
Note: The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) reserves the right to change or modify the selection procedure if required.
SEBI IT Officer Phase 1 Exam Pattern 2025
The SEBI Grade A Phase I is the online screening examination consisting of two papers of 100 marks each. The Paper 1 is for 100 marks to be attempted in 60 minutes and the cut off is 30%. For Paper 2, the maximum marks is 100, the duration is 40 minutes and the cut off is 40%. The aggregate cut off for both the papers will be 40%.

Important Note:
- Negative Marking: 1/4th for both papers in Phase 1.
- Marks secured in Phase 1 will not be counted in final selection.
SEBI IT Officer Phase II Exam Pattern 2025
The Phase II will be further divided into two papers of 100 marks each. The aggregate cut off for both the papers will be 50%.

Important Points:
- Negative Marking will not be there for IT Stream.
- Question Papers will be in Hindi & English except for the English section.
SEBI IT Officer Interview Exam Pattern 2025
The weightage of Interview for final selection of SEBI Grade A will be 15% and the rest will be of Phase II. For Interview, the candidates can either opt Hindi or English.
