What is the SIDBI Grade B nationality criteria?

As per the last cycle notification PDF candidate who wants to appear for SIDBI Grade B Exam must fulfil the eligibility criteria from the following:

  • A citizen of India, or
  • A subject of Nepal, or
  • A subject of Bhutan, or
  • A Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
  • A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire), Ethiopia, or Vietnam, with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Candidates in categories (ii), (iii), (iv), or (v) above must have an eligibility certificate issued by the Government of India. Such candidates can appear for the SIDBI exam/interview, but the final offer of appointment will only be made once the required eligibility certificate has been issued by the Government of India.

What is the SIDBI Grade B age limit?

As per the cycle notification PDF, for officers in Grade ‘B’, candidates must be between 25 and 33 years of age as per the SIDBI Grade B eligibility criteria. The reference dates for age calculation will be mentioned in the official notification PDF.

What is the SIDBI Grade B qualification?

In the last cycle, the notification PDF released vacancies across three streams: General, Legal, and Information Technology (IT). The educational qualifications required for each stream are shared below.

LegalBachelor’s degree in law from any University/ Institution, recognized by the University Grant Commission (UGC) / Govt. of India/ approved by Govt. regulatory bodies with a minimum of 50% (45% for SC/ST and PwBD candidates, if vacancies are reserved for them) marks or equivalent in the aggregate of all semesters/years and enrolled as an advocate with the Bar Council of India.At least Five years’ work experience, post bachelor’s degree in law, as a Law Officer [permanent / on full time direct contract (not outsourced)] in the Legal Department of (any one):

1) Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI)

2) Any All-India Financial Institution like – Export-Import Bank of India (EXIM Bank), National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), National Housing Bank (NHB), National Bank for Financing Infrastructure and Development (NaBFID) and SIDBI.

3) Scheduled Commercial Banks included in the Second Schedule of the RBI Act, 1934.Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs)

4) NBFCs registered with RBI
ITBachelor’s degree in engineering / technology in Computer Science/ Computer Technology/ Information Technology/ Electronics/ Electronics & Communications from a University/ Institution, recognized by the University Grant Commission (UGC) / Govt. of India/ approved by Govt. regulatory bodies with 60% marks (SC/ST/PWBD applicants 55%) in aggregate.

MCA from a University/ Institution, recognized by the University Grant Commission (UGC) / Govt. of India/ approved by Govt. regulatory bodies with 60% marks (SC/ST/PWBD applicants 55%) in aggregate		At least Five years’ experience in Information Technology as an IT/ System officer [permanent / on full time direct contract (not outsourced)] in:
