Inspiring Success Story Of Nilesh Srivastava

Hi, I am Nilesh Srivastava. Currently working as an assistant in LIC of India. I belong to Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. And recently got selected as Probationary Officer in Canara Bank.

Started in early 2018, faced many failures in the initial stage. One thing that really helped me was preparing a to-do list which you must finish before the day’s end. Maintaining consistency and keeping patience are only going to help you out I believe, and the mock test is another important part of banking exams.

Finally, I joined LIC as an assistant in Feb 2020. After that, being a working aspirant, it was not that easy as before, so I totally relied on mock tests and quizzes, which is the most important in my opinion.

Subject-wise Strategy of Nilesh Srivastava

Banking exams are all about how well you stick up to concepts in each subject and how you maintain an accurate speed in prelims as well as in mains.

Quant

This section is my forte. Strategies are subjective. One needs to personalize one’s strategy with one’s capabilities to get maximum benefits. The Preliminary exams check your knowledge and speed, so I did the syllabus by myself (it gave me a good understanding of the underlying concepts; this helped me in my Mains as well). Then I gave the Oliveboard’s Mock Test to gain speed in the Quants section.

Reasoning

Same for the Reasoning as well. But this section haunts me the most. Practice as much as you can. I made sure that I gave a good number of mock tests to prepare myself for the exam. Fun trivia is that I just managed to clear the sectional cutoff of Reasoning by some margin.

English

Always clear your Grammar basics before giving mock tests. Read anything (it can be novels/stories/newspapers etc.) to improve your reading skills. Trust me, reading skill is the savior in mains nowadays. Try this, you’ll know the difference.

GA

Well this is a very tough section for me because I am average in this section and also a working candidate. I have studied weekly compilations of current affairs and attempted quizzes as many as possible and hopefully cleared this section.

Role of Oliveboard in Nilesh’s Success

Oliveboard is known for its standard mock series which is tougher than the usual SBI/IBPS PO. Once I started getting good enough marks in my Oliveboard mock tests, my confidence in my ability to crack the exam increased. I want to thank Team Oliveboard for creating a quality and challenging test series for the IBPS PO. I absolutely loved it! It gave me the level of confidence that I needed to clear the Preliminary as well as the Mains examination of PO.

Nilesh’s Tips for aspirants

Be confident and believe in yourself. You may face difficulties or get demotivated at times, but never let that affect your preparations. All in all, a lot of effort went into my being able to Crack IBPS PO, and everyone played their role in my success, be it my family, my teachers, my friends, or the Oliveboard mock series. Thank you to all of these people/institutions. I would like to wish the best of luck to all the aspirants. Go ahead and achieve your dreams.

That all we have for you in the blog – Success Story Of Nilesh Srivastava, who cleared IBPS PO with a proper guidance from Oliveboard and his will. You can do it too.
