To Calculate The Score By Using The TISSNET Answer Key:

The minute candidates come out of the examination hall, they calculate how many marks they would get. This estimation gives the candidate or applicant a good understanding of what they should be expecting. This estimate gives them an understanding of whether they have a chance to get shortlisted for OPI and PAT/MAT or not. For this purpose, the TISSNET Answer key is most helpful. If a candidate gets a score equal to or higher than the section-wise cut-off in General Awareness(GA), the marks of the remaining paper are checked, or else it is not checked. An overall TISSNET cut-off is executed to shortlist the candidates for PAT/MAT.

Different Types Of TISSNET Answer Key

Once the examination is over, there are different types of TISSNET answer keys that are released.

• The official answer key: The authorized or official answer key is provided a couple of days after the examination. Applicants can download this official answer key from the TISSNET official Website.
• The unofficial answer keys: After the examination, different coaching institutes and subject experts issue the answer keys. Such answer keys are developed based on the inputs of the respective candidates and experts/institutes.

(Note: It is never clear if the Tata Institute of Social Sciences will issue the answer key or not; the chances are always half and half. However, there have been years when the official TISSNET Answer key has not been released).

Calculating Marks Using The TISSNET Answer Key

The TISSNET Answer Key is an excellent way to calculate the marks scored by a candidate, which is unlike other exams. Unlike other examinations, the answer key is not provided for all applicants. The applicants can get their marks by following the steps mentioned below:

1. The candidates can easily check their answer sheet from the official site of TISSNET.
2. After that, they have to cross-check the answers that they have selected against the ones that the authorities have selected.
3. Since there is no negative marking in the examinations, the candidates need only to add 1 mark for the correct responses.
