TPSC Civil Services 2024: TPSC Civil Services Interviews have been completed. The Personality Test/Interviews were conducted on 31st August, 2nd September, and 3rd September 2024. The TPSC Civil Services recruitment aims to fill a total of 40 vacancies. Now, the candidates are eagerly awaiting the final result of the TPSC Civil Services Exam, which will be announced soon. TPSC Civil Service Eligibility 2024

Understanding the eligibility criteria is crucial for candidates as it marks the initial step in approaching the exam. Candidates must thoroughly check if they fulfill all the conditions to avoid disqualification during the selection procedure. Non-compliance with any criterion will result in disqualification. A candidate cannot proceed with the application process unless meeting the required eligibility criteria for Tripura Civil Service.

Age Limit

Any interested candidate applying for the Tripura Civil Service Examination must be at least 21 years old and must not be more than 30 years old, to be considered eligible. The upper age limit along with the relaxation, for applying to the examination is 40 years.

The recruiting body provides relaxation for the candidates belonging to the SC / ST/ PH category and also to the Government candidates. They get age relaxation in addition with the upper age limit.

Nationality/Citizenship

A candidate must be an Indian citizen, in order to be eligible for the Tripura Combined Competitive Exam.

Educational Qualification

The applicants of TPSC CCE 2024, must hold a Bachelor’s degree from any of the recognized universities. An equivalent qualification will also be considered.

Number of Attempts

There is no exam attempt limit specified for the Tripura Civil Service exam. The candidates can appear for the exam as many times as he/she want, provided, he/she reach the upper age limit.

Experience

All applicants who meet the other mentioned criteria can apply for the exam. No prior experience is needed. Candidates with or without experience can take the TPSC exam 2024.

TPSC Selection Process 2024

The Tripura Civil Service Exam selection process concludes with three stages: preliminary exam, Main Exam, and Interview. Applicants who are eligible for the exam go through the TPSC Selection process. The first stage is the Preliminary exam, which is qualifying in nature. Candidates who qualify for the preliminary exam are allowed to take the main exam. The merit list is prepared based on the marks scored in the mains and interviews.

TPSC Selection Process – Stage 1

  1. Preliminary Examination (MCQ Type) will be carrying 200 marks.
  2. Only those candidates who will be declared qualified at the Preliminary Examination, will be eligible for admission to the Main Examination.
  3. The Prelims exam will consist of only one paper i.e. General Studies & Engineering Aptitude.
  4. The total time duration will be 2½ hours.
  5. ¼ marks will be deducted as a penalty for every wrong answer.

TPSC Selection Process – Stage 2

  1. The main exam consists of compulsory and optional subject papers.
  2. The nature of the main exam will be subjective type.
  3. The main paper will be of 800 marks.
  4. A negative marking of ¼ will be done as a penalty for wrong answers in the General Studies paper.

TPSC Selection Process – Stage 3

The third stage of Tripura PSC Recruitment is the Interview or Personality Test. Candidates qualifying in the Main (written part) are eligible. The Commission determines the Interview-cum-personality test pattern based on service and post requirements. This aims to assess personal qualities like intellectual ability, social traits, current affairs interest, judgment power, depth of interest, leadership ability, moral integrity, etc. The Interview carries 100 marks.

Tripura Civil Service: Exam Pattern

The first stage of the selection process for the Tripura Civil Service Exam is the Preliminary Exam. The Preliminary Examination is meant to serve as a screening test only to select candidates for the Main Examination. The marks obtained in this examination by the candidates will not be considered for final selection. A limited number of candidates (according to the vacancy) will be selected merit-wise based on the result of the Preliminary Examination, subject to securing minimum qualifying marks.

The second stage of the TPSC CCE selection process is the Mains exam. This exam is compulsory. The minimum cut-off marks to qualify in the main examination is 40% in aggregate for UR & 30% in aggregate for Reserved Category Candidates. The selected candidates based on the results of the Main(Written) Examination will be allowed to appear in the Interview Cum Personality Test.

  • The Preliminary exam will have a single paper on General Studies.
  • It will be an Objective Type test with Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs).
  • The paper will have a total of 200 marks.
  • The exam duration will be 2½ hours.
  • For each incorrect answer, ¼ mark will be deducted as a penalty.

TPSC CCE – Prelims and Mains Syllabus

The Tripura Public Service Commission organizes the TPSC exam in three stages: Prelims, Mains, and Interview. The TPSC Prelims exam is objective-type, consisting of 200 marks, and lasts for 2.5 hours. Successful candidates from the Prelims stage proceed to the TPSC Mains exam, which is a conventional essay exam with a total of 8 papers, including 3 optional papers. Candidates who pass the Mains exam will be invited for an interview.

The Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC) salary structure follows 7th Pay commission. TPSC provides lucrative salary packages to its employees, which vary based on different posts and the job location.
