SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam Pattern

Before moving on to the preparation strategy, it is very important for candidates to understand the latest exam pattern. The SSC CGL Tier 2 exam consists of the following structure:

Paper 1 – This paper is compulsory for all candidates and is conducted in two sessions on the same day.
Session I includes three sections:
Section I: Mathematical Abilities and Reasoning & General Intelligence
Section II: English Language & Comprehension and General Awareness
Section III: Computer Knowledge Module (qualifying)
Session II includes Module II of Section III: Data Entry Speed Test (DEST), which is qualifying in nature.

Paper 2 – This paper is conducted only for candidates who have applied for the post of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO). It tests concepts related to Statistics.

Paper 3 – This paper is conducted only for candidates who have applied for the post of Assistant Audit Officer (AAO) or Assistant Accounts Officer. It covers General Studies (Finance and Economics).

Paper 1 is compulsory for all SSC CGL candidates. Paper 2 is only for those who have applied for the JSO post, and Paper 3 is only for those who have applied for the AAO post.
