EPFO Assistant Mains Exam Analysis

The Employee’s Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO under Ministry of Labour & Employment, Govt. of India) has decided to conduct the Mains phase of EPFO Assistant 2019 exam on 7 November 2019. The prelims phase of the exam was conducted on 31 July 2019 by the authority. The notification was released by the EPFO for the 280 positions that are to be filled this year. General/Economy/Finance Awareness

Most of the questions were asked from current affairs. Around 7-9 questions were asked from Septembers’ Current affairs (approx) and 3-4 questions from August current affairs (Approx). Approx 4 questions were asked from banking awareness. 2-3 questions were based on Economy survey. Very few static awareness questions were asked.

A separate test was conducted for Descriptive Paper (English Language with emphasis on comprehension and analysis) which was conducted in online phase immediately after the objective test of mains phase (paper 2)

1- Letter to a news editor (Formal)

2- Letter to a friend/Brother, asking for the places to visit while you are going to take the test in the city. (Informal)

Descriptive topic – Online content on Mobile

Keep in mind that the marks scored in this exam will be considered for the final evaluation at the time of selection and position allotment.
