Haryana HPSC Selection Process

The Haryana Civil Services 2024 exam recruitment process has three stages. First stage is the preliminary exam which carries 200 marks. If candidates clear prelims, they are applicable for the main exam which carries total of 600 marks. The main exam tests candidate’s knowledge through written papers. If they pass mains, they go to the interview round carrying 75 marks. The interview checks aspirant’s personality and communication skills. Haryana Civil Service Exam Pattern

The Haryana Civil Services exam consists of three successive stages – preliminary, main and personality test. The prelims is an objective MCQ based test evaluating general studies and aptitude. The mains comprise 4 papers testing subject knowledge through descriptive essay-type questions. Finally shortlisted candidates undergo an interview round assessing mental alertness, knowledge and communication skills for the civil services.

HPSC HCS 2024 – Salary

The salary structure of the Haryana Civil Services offers a decent pay scale and allowances. As per the 7th Pay Commission, the HCS officer starts at a pay of Rs 56,100 at entry-level rank of HCS (Ex. Br.). In-hand salary would be around Rs 80,000 including dearness allowance and other perks. There are grades from HCS (Ex. Br.) to Additional Chief Secretary with rising salary scales upto Rs 2.5 lakhs monthly for senior positions.
