HPSC HCS – Nationality/Citizenship
To be eligible for the Haryana Civil Service examination, candidates must fulfill one of the following conditions:
- be an Indian citizenship.
- be a citizen of Nepal.
- be a citizen of Bhutan.
- be a Tibetan refugee who entered India prior to January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanent residence.
- be a person of Indian origin who has relocated to India with the intent of establishing permanent residency. These individuals must have originated from countries like Pakistan, Burma, Tanzania, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Zaire, Zambia, Malawi, Ethiopia, or Vietnam.
In case a certificate of eligibility is required to prove the nationality of a candidate, he/she may be admitted to the examination but the offer of appointment may be given to him/her only after the Government of India has issued the necessary eligibility certificate to him/her.
HPSC HCS – Educational Qualification

- If the candidate belongs to the sports category then he will be given all the reservation in accordance with his category. However, to take the benefits of the sports quota the candidate has to submit the Sports Gradation certificate issued by the Haryana government.

- If the female candidate applying for the examination is married, then she has to submit the certificates related to the category from her paternal side only.
