Overall Analysis

The difficulty level of the paper is Moderate to Tough. You have to make a target to score at least 90 percentile and above in each section individually and collectively. If you are scoring less than 90 percentile marks, then you have to prepare well in the individual section in which you score below 90 percentile.

RBI Grade B Section Wise – Detailed Analysis

The below sections will allow you to have a detailed analysis of Phase 1 subjects/ sections such as Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, English & General Awareness.

General Awareness

  • Current Affairs – There are around 45 questions from the current affairs section.
  • Government Schemes – There are around 14-15 questions from government schemes. The questions are mixed with both current knowledges of schemes and static knowledge of schemes.
  • Reports/Indices – There are around 3-4 questions from reports/indices. Past 5-6 months of reports/indices are asked.
  • Static GK – The remaining questions are from static GK. Diverse topics are asked like – biosphere reserve, static banking, and banking terminology. If you are covering static GK with the monthly current affairs, then it will not be difficult for you to attempt questions of static GK.

Quantitative Aptitude

  • 6 Questions – Caselet (Moderate to Difficult)
  • 10 Questions – Data Interpretation (Moderate to Difficult)
  • 2 Questions – Quantity Comparison (Moderate to Difficult)
  • 2 Questions – Data Sufficiency (Moderate to Difficult)
  • 3 Questions – Number Series (Moderate to Difficult)
  • 2 Questions – Quadratic Equation (Moderate to Difficult)
  • 5 Questions – Arithmetic (Moderate to Difficult)

The level of questions is moderate to difficult. It also depends on your level of preparation. However, in the given time, if you could solve 7-10 questions, then you can call it a good attempt.

Logical Reasoning

  • 32 Questions – Puzzle and Seating Arrangement (Moderate to Difficult)
  • 3 Questions – Data Sufficiency (Moderate to Difficult)

The difficulty level of the Reasoning section is Moderate to Tough. If you can master the skill of picking the right questions, then you can attempt around 20-25 questions. You just have to focus on your strong topics. If you are good at puzzles and seating arrangements, then this paper is moderate for you.

English Language

The difficulty level of the English section is moderate to tough. If you are good at comprehending a text, then the English section is moderate for you. If you are not good at it then you can read editorials 30 minutes per day. This will help you to improve your comprehension ability.
