Steps to Calculate the Score

According to the RRB Group D exam pattern, General Science, General Intelligence & Reasoning, Mathematics, and Current Affairs & General Awareness are the four sections of the CBT. Total 100 questions come in the exam paper. The exam conducting authority follows a negative marking scheme for this exam. Candidates earn one mark for each right response in the test. Whereas, for incorrect answers, they lose 1/3 marks. The total score of the candidates depends on the total no. of right and wrong answers.

The board calculate the candidates’ RRB Group D marks with the formula mentioned below:

RRB Group D Score = (1 X No. of right answers) – (1/3 X No. of wrong answers)

Candidates can get a tentative idea of their score in CBT using this formula.

The board prepare the merit list based on the CBT scores, so candidates should aim for the highest possible score in this exam. Only those who perform well in the CBT will qualify for the next round. Candidates can improve their preparation for the RRB Group D exam by studying the previous year’s answer key. The previous year’s answer keys, along with question papers, serve as a great source to practise for these exams.
