Success Story of Harsha Verman: Harsha Verman cleared the SBI Clerk 2023-24 exam, showcasing a tale of determination and success. Introduction

I come from Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, where I completed my graduation in Electronics and Communication. My father works as an Account Officer in Defense, and my mother is a teacher in government service. I have an elder sister who works in HR at an IT company. After college, I started my career as a software developer at TCS and began preparing for bank exams alongside my job.

Subject-Wise Preparation Strategy 

After college, I worked in the IT sector for 2.5 years. During this time, I began preparing for bank exams in September 2022. I successfully cleared the preliminary exams for IBPS PO, SBI Clerk, and SSC CGL, but unfortunately did not make it through the mains exams. Balancing preparation with my job was challenging, so I made the decision to resign in late 2023 and dedicated myself fully to preparing for bank exams. This focused effort paid off, and I am proud to say that I finally cleared the SBI Clerk exam.

Subject-Wise Preparation Strategy 

For Quantitative Aptitude, I followed Ashish sir and Kaushik sir for concepts. I also utilized the Oliveboard test series for mock exams. The sectional test series and topic-wise tests were particularly beneficial in enhancing my speed and accuracy in Quant.

Reasoning: For reasoning, I took sectional mock tests to learn new types of questions and improve my approach to increase speed.

English: For English, I watched editorial classes daily and attended perfection classes. Additionally, I thoroughly studied the 120 rules of grammar to strengthen my language skills.

The sectional and topic-wise test series were particularly instrumental in my mains exam preparation. I regularly participated in the weekly live tests tailored for SBI Clerk and other exams. Tips or advice for Aspirants

From the beginning, focus on preparing for Current Affairs and English alongside Maths and Reasoning. These two sections are crucial for scoring well. Take mock tests regularly to improve your speed in Maths and Reasoning. Even if you don’t perform well initially, consistency in your preparation will gradually increase your speed and lead to better scores in your exams.
