Inspiring Success story of Tamonas Pal

“Hello, I’m Tamonas Pal. I originally belonged to a small village called Borhal in the Hooghly district of West Bengal. I completed my graduation in Physiology (Hons.) in 2017. Thereafter, I started preparing for government jobs.

My Journey

I completed my graduation when I was 19. Then, I joined a banking class. They were good at clearing the basics. Thereafter, it was just my hard work and mock tests (Attempt one for FREE now). Don’t believe in luck, that’s my advice.

Inspiration? Have a conversation with yourself in front of a mirror everyday. You’ll gain a lot of confidence. Don’t be a depressed sod. Take your Sundays off, go out and enjoy a bit also.

My Bank Exam Preparation Strategy

The section-wise details of my exam preparation strategy are as follows -:

English Preparation  Strategy

You can’t learn it overnight. You’ll have to embrace it. Book by SP Bakshi, that’s all you need for your basic concept of this language. Then proceed and practice a good number of mock tests from Oliveboard (Start Now). Watch English tv shows, watch English movies with subtitles. You’ll get entertained and at the same time, you’ll also learn.

Maths Preparation  Strategy

Rajesh Verma’s Fast Track Objective Arithmetic, this is a very good book to clear your concepts. Don’t run for shortcuts. Learn the whole thing always. Then, solve those daily quizzes from Oliveboard and give mock tests as much as you please.

(How good are you in Maths? Take a mock test now to know if you are an expert.)

Reasoning Preparation  Strategy

This is one no-nonsense subject. Clear your basics from various YouTube channels and practice quizzes. I won’t suggest any book for this topic.

GK/GA Preparation  Strategy

Don’t ignore this section. Oliveboard’s monthly BOLT (Download Month-wise BOLT here) is one of the best sources to prepare for this section on a monthly basis. These are the things you need to sharpen your current affairs game. For Banking Awareness and GK, make notes on various topics like National Parks, Wild Life Sanctuaries, Lakes, Country-Capital-Currency, Folk Dance, Dams, Rivers etc from the internet. (Download All these FREE ebooks now)

Interview Preparation  Strategy

Just be yourself! They are not there to test your knowledge. They are there to judge your capability to work in front of hundreds of customers. Don’t know something? Just say you don’t. Don’t overthink and always say things smartly. Show them that you’re confident about yourself and you won’t reel under pressure and voila!

Importance of Mock Tests

Ok, you’ve cleared your basics and all. It’s time to face the real challenge. Give mocks diligently. I have always found Oliveboard’s mock tests to be in the Tier-1 category, every time, all the time. These mock tests helped me gain speed and accuracy.(You can do the same. Start Now) They provide you with somewhat an enhanced version of the questions you’ll find in real exams and that’s the thing that’ll give you an edge over others.”

That brings us to the end of the Success Story of Tamonas Pal. We hope you are inspired and motivated by his journey. We hope you follow his section-wise preparation tips and achieve success like him. All the best for your Bank Exams Preparation.
